HE DID IT!!

We are so very proud... Justin graduated from the East Texas Police Academy last night. He delivered the invocation and benediction and read two very appropriate poems. I hope to get them from him so I can post them here. He has grown into such a wonderful young man, and I swell with pride when I think of him achieving this lifelong dream. He has an interview on Monday afternoon, so everyone keep your fingers crossed!

Cross Your Fingers

Jen and I worked our tails off packing up "clutter" and getting it to the storage place before the house was shown at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. It looks as though it may be worth all of the hard work as the family that looked at it LOVED it! They are contacting their bank in El Paso today. Keep your fingers crossed that we'll get an offer this week. That would definitely be manna from heaven!

We are going to shop for furniture this weekend - I'm such a romantic, that's our Valentine's Day outing - to look at wardrobes, computer desks, shelving and bunk beds. Wish us luck...

Have a great week!

Where Have You Been?

I apologize for it being so long since I added anything to the blog. We have been very busy! We spent a few months looking for a dream home and we have found it! We are under contract to purchase a newly remodeled home which was built in 1964. It is in a wonderful, beautiful neighborhood in Woodway, TX. I promise to post photos in the next few days. ***So, if you know anyone looking for a great deal on a 2003 double-wide manufacutured home with 2248 sq ft - I'm your guy!

Madelyn is doing great in 1st grade. Mrs. Gibson is a wonderful teacher and Madelyn really likes her. She has also been doing gymnastics, but is still trying to decide if she wants to continue to participate. I think she really excels at it - but we all know just how much she likes being told what to do! :)

Justin is almost through the academy, finishing classes this week. He will take his Texas Peace Officer exam on Sunday the 15th. If, I mean when he passes, it looks very promising that he has a spot as a deputy. That's all I can say about that - don't want to jinx him...

My sister-in-law and her husband found out in October that they are expecting twins. They have struggled with fertility issues their entire marriage. They have a beautiful 7 year old daughter - Hollie - and were so excited to find that through a frozen embryo transfer (FET) they were pregnant again with Kamryn Hope and Brooke Ashlyn. At 13 weeks they learned that Kamryn had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) and will need lots of medical care immediately upon her birth. You can follow Kamryn Hope's blog at http://thestuddardfamily.blogspot.com/. Please keep Stephanie, Shawn, Hollie, Brooke and Kamryn in your thoughts and prayers. I am sure they will appreciate it.
